Peter L. DeBernardi, a longtime resident of Mt. Vernon and WWII Veteran, passed away peacefully at home on April 13, 2016 at the age of 90. He was born on September 22, 1925 in Bridgeport , CT to the late Louis and Erminia DeBernardi. Peter is survived by his 3 daughters, sole caretaker Laura Hanna, and Lisa and Sandra DeBernardi. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Christian and Jonathan Hanna, Justin and Julian Gherardi, Lea and Lauren Pizzarello, and great grandchildren, Christian, Jake, and Evangeline Hanna. Along with his parents he was predeceased by his wife Mary DeBernardi in 1995,a brother Anthony DeBernardi and a sister Josephine Reda.
