Ralph S. Stupple, 83 , of Tuckahoe died on April 13, 2016. Beloved husband of Charlotte Stupple. Loving father of Ralph (Suzanne) Stupple, Megan (Allen) Richardson, and David (Vicky) Stupple. Cherished grandfather of Matthew and Abigail Stupple, Adam and Julia Richardson, and Eric Stupple. Dear brother of Margaret "Mickie" Hover, Helen Patricia Sheffield, and the late James F., Alfred E., and William E. Stupple.
He was born on November 24, 1932 in Tuckahoe to James and Rita Gormley Stupple. He served in the US Marines from 1950-54, earning the Korean Service Medal with 5 battle stars. He then served in the Air Force before being honorably discharged in 1957. He returned to his hometown of Tuckahoe and took a position with the Eastchester Fire Department, where he rose to the rank of Assistant Chief and retired in 1989. During his career he served as the secretary/treasurer of IAFF Local 916. He was a founding member of the Westchester Fire Fighters Burn Foundation, whose efforts led to the establishment of the Burn Center at the Westchester Medical Center. He remained an active member of the American Legion Charles Bajart Post 1122 where he participated in many charitable activities. He was a life member of the VFW.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Sunday, April 17, 2016, 2-4 and 6-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday April 18, 2016 at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe. Cremation to follow at Ferncliff Crematory.
