Josephine Castagna formerly of Eastchester, NY, Novato, CA and recently of Southbury, CT passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Paul DiPippo and Rosie Marulli (Albanese) and stepdaughter of Victor Marullli. She was born in Eastchester, NY on August 22, 1922. Josephine was the wife of the late Armand Castagna.

Josephine was a top sales woman for Grace China and Westmorland Sterling. Her favorite thing to do was entertain family and friends and her efforts were greatly appreciated by all. She had the gift of gab and could make friends wherever she went. She poured love into everything she did.

She was preceded in death by her husband Armand, son Daniel, grandson Christopher and sister Theresa Gazzini. Josephine is survived by her sons Paul (Beverly) Castagna and Armand J. Castagna Jr, brother James DiPippo, sister Jean Peckham and daughter in law Michele Castagna. Josephine is also survived by her loving grandchildren Daniel, Thomas, Jeffrey, Ryan and Tracy, two great-grandchildren Camden and Cooper and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 4-8 pm. A Mass will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016, 9:30 am at the Church of the Assumption of Our Lady, Tuckahoe. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Josephine’s name to the Knights of Columbus or charity of your choice.
