Loreto Cristini, a longtime resident of Eastchester died on Saturday, November 26 at Calvary Hospital after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was 80 years old. Loreto was born on October 2, 1936 to the late Arduino and Maria (Vacca) Cristini in Veroli, Italy. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1961 and resided in Tuckahoe. On September 26, 1970 he married Mary DeBartholomeo in Yonkers, NY. He moved to Eastchester where he lived for the next 46 years. Loreto worked at Western Electric and the Crestwood Barber Shop. He was an avid soccer fan and also enjoyed cooking, baking and hunting. He is survived by his sister, Ada (Anthony) Marrocco of Eastchester, and cousin Sandra (Umberto) Rossetti of Tuckahoe. "Zono" is the beloved uncle of Anna Marie, Linda, Alberto, Sandra, Joseph and Stefania. He was predeceased by his wife Mary and brothers Joseph and Aldo. The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 29, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Westchester Funeral Home, Eastchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Assumption Church in Tuckahoe. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org) in honor of Loreto.
